Seeking those who love children and are looking for part-time employment, 15-30 hours/week

We are currently seeking an individual to provide teaching support at Step by Step preschool in State College.

Two shifts available:

School-day: 8:30am to 3:30pm with daily 1-hr lunch break, Mon-Fri (30 hrs/week)

Afternoons: Arriving between 1:00 and 3:00pm, staying until 6:00pm daily, Mon-Fri hrs/week)

This position is open to both experienced and entry-level candidates who are eager to learn more about the field Starting compensation will be based on ECE credentials and years of experience in the field, within the listed range.

Benefits:

Paid time off (starting at 7 PTO days and 6 paid holidays for a total of 13 paid days in the first year, increasing each year thereafter) for those working 25+ hrs/week

If you have young children of your own, childcare tuition is discounted 75% for the first child and 50% for additional children.

If you are interested in pursuing a credential or degree in the field, we also offer the opportunity to take college classes in early education for no cost, by participation in PA's PASSHE funding program.

Job duties may include:

Collaborating with classroom teachers to implement age appropriate activities and lesson plans

Providing stimulation for development across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains of learning (singing, reading, outdoor time, physical activities, simple hands-on art and sensory activities, etc)

Meeting the children's physical needs for care (feeding, assisting with naptime routines, bathroom assistance, etc)

Communicating as needed about the children's progress and day's activities with family members, in person and using an app for sharing information and photos

Attending monthly staff meetings for professional development and school-wide communications
