Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping, Receiving, and Fulfillment Specialist to manage and execute the daily flow of sales orders, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations at our Fairborn, OH headquarters. This role is key to ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, maintaining organized inventory, and supporting internal teams with up-to-date information on order status.

Essential Functions

  • Sales Order Oversight: Oversee sales order buckets by printing, picking, filling, and tracking orders. Coordinate with production to verify fulfillment status and update the inside sales team accordingly.
  • Shipping Preparation & Execution: Accurately prepare and ship customer orders per pick tickets, ensuring correct part quantities, documentation, and packaging methods to prevent in-transit damage.
  • Receiving: Receive and label incoming shipments, including vendor deliveries, RMAs, and internal transfers. Verify items and quantities, sign off on Bills of Lading, and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate department.
  • Inventory Control: Put away, stock, and restock materials and components in proper warehouse locations. Conduct cycle counts, verify inventory accuracy, and alert management of any stock issues or discrepancies.
  • Warehouse Equipment & Safety: Safely operate and inspect material handling equipment, move materials throughout the facility, and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment while following all safety procedures.
  • Administrative & Communication Tasks: Accurately complete and submit all required shipping, receiving, and inventory paperwork. Report any process inefficiencies or safety concerns to management.

Other Role Functions

  • Some production assembly as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to learn on the job. Training is ongoing, but a basic understanding is expected to be learned within a month. Planning, expediting, and overall familiarity with all core competencies will take several months.

Working Conditions

The position is based at our headquarters location in Fairborn, OH. The work is performed in a temperature-controlled office and warehouse environment where there is low-to-moderate noise. The job generally requires the worker to spend most of the day using a computer, warehousing and materials handling equipment, and hand tools. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Sit-stand desks are available, and other necessary operating furniture.

The employee is required to follow safety instructions, including but not limited to operating in a safe manner as defined by the company, wearing proper safety gear, including protective eyewear, gloves, ear protection, and steel-toe shoes.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to regularly talk, hear, stand, walk, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day, as would be required occasionally. Moderate noise level. This position may require less than 5% travel. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and carry products up to 3 yards.
