The primary responsibilities of the Shop Foreman is to supervised the employees and the flow of steel fabrication production while coordinating efforts with quality control, operations and administrative managers.

The essential functions of this position are :

  • Communicate and coordinate all work in progress with Management to meet deadlines

  • Direct staff and answer questions concerning current production

  • Communicate employment needs and provide feedback on employees performance

  • Communicate training or coaching needs on behalf of the employees to HR.

  • Follow and enforce policies, procedures and safety regulations

Knowledge and skills:


•Basic computer skills


•Understanding of shop fabrication production processes


•Ability to read and interoperate blueprints


•Manage people and use conflict resolution skills to solve personnel issues


•Ability to work as a team and lead to achieve results
