Note: Looking for Sr. Java Developer with strong Core Java and Multi-threading experience. This is a true Right to Hire role and employer should be able to agree to the clause which will say that you would have no problem when client wants to hire your consultant full time. This is a 4 day onsite role and ideally looking for someone who is local to Boston area. Candidates need to take IKM test before moving to video interview.

Senior Software Engineer – IBOR

We are growing our engineering team and looking for highly motivated engineers to make an impact at Wellington. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to build a career and learn about IBOR (Investor Book of Record). This position requires a high level of collaboration and interaction with our other technology partners across the department, and an ability to deliver in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

5+ years in systems development using Java and J2EE (currently working with Java 17; experience with version 11 will work)

Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks

Solid understanding of multi-threaded applications and high-performance systems

Experience developing and deploying RESTful APIs

Experience with WebSockets, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines (especially using Jenkins) is a strong plus

Exposure to GenAI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer) is a plus

Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting a business-critical production environment

Strong analysis, design, and modeling skills

Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies and their effective application; experience with JMeter is a plus

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Responsibilities

Responsible for the technical design, implementation, deployment, and support of the IBOR platform

Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot

Collaborate with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements

Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and QA Leads on estimates, statuses, issue identification, and risk management

Partner with the Architecture team to ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the enterprise

Stay current with evolving industry and technical trends, including AI-assisted development tools, to ensure systems and team are of the highest caliber
