You will assist with scouting for the best talent in Long Island, Lead Practices, & Travel To Games

Leadership will inspire young athletes to reach their full potential on and off the field. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop competitive teams, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship across diverse travel tournaments and local competitions. As a pivotal part of our sports program, you will create a positive, energetic environment that encourages growth, discipline, and enjoyment of the game. Your passion for coaching and commitment to youth development will be instrumental in shaping confident, skilled athletes ready to excel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and organize travel football teams, including planning practices, game strategies, and tournament schedules
  • Develop tailored training sessions that enhance players' technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
  • Foster a motivating team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth
  • Manage team logistics for travel arrangements, equipment, and uniforms for tournaments and away games
  • Monitor player progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to athletes and parents
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all practices and competitions, maintaining a secure environment for all participants
  • Collaborate with assistant coaches, trainers, and administrative staff to deliver a cohesive coaching experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on youth or adolescent athletes; previous leadership roles preferred
  • Strong background in football tactics and player development; familiarity with game rules and regulations
  • Experience working with students or children in educational or recreational settings; ability to manage behavior effectively
  • Knowledge of physical education principles and training techniques to improve athletic performance
  • Great To Have: Certifications in sports coaching or relevant fields are advantageous; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
  • Additional skills in Lifeguard experience, Karate, Swimming, Martial arts, Cheerleading, Climbing, Judo or other physical activities are considered a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of young athletes
