The Power Supply Analyst Intern will assist in supporting the cooperative's strategic decision-making processes by contributing to power supply & data analysis efforts, using appropriate tools to extract data from existing systems, develop new tools to extract and report data, develop and present data reports and analyzing such data to provide insights to drive informed decision making. This internship will focus on utilizing tools and applying analytical techniques to support the cooperative's strategic goals while offering opportunities to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

The Impact You Will Make in This Role:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Collaborate with senior staff and business teams to understand and address data-driven challenges in the energy industry. Assist in applying quantitative tools and techniques to analyze data effectively. Support cross-team collaboration to improve transparency and operational efficiency. Help in developing and maintaining tools and models to support business strategies, such as energy generation and portfolio management. Under guidance, utilize and develop tools and models and support market decision-making. Assist with data exploration and analysis. Support the interpretation of data analysis and contribute to presentations for stakeholders. Learn to source, integrate, and structure datasets to aid in analytics and decision-making processes. Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and workflows to ensure data accessibility. Work on basic data analysis tools and models with exposure to machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts. Help maintain dashboards and reporting tools to ensure insights are accessible across the organization. Communicate findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Perform other duties as assigned to support department goals and objectives.

Your Experience and Expertise:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:  Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework toward a degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering, or a related field. Candidates currently at junior or senior standing in their academic program are preferred.

Skills:  Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals of various technical backgrounds. Ability to manage confidential information. Excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Proficient in one or more scientific computing languages (Python preferred). Experience constructing statistical and/or machine learning models is a plus. Experience in one or more of the following: Cloud Computing, Version Control, Power BI, SQL, is advantageous.

Licenses and Certifications:  Valid Driver's License
