Construction Superintendent

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage landfill construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, specifically in landfill development, expansion, and closure activities. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily construction activities on landfill sites, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and materials to maintain project schedules.
• Monitor site safety and enforce compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding project status and any issues.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation.
• Assist in resolving field issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 2 years in landfill or environmental construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of landfill construction methods, including liner installation, leachate systems, and earthwork.
• Familiarity with EPA and state environmental regulations related to landfill operations.
• Proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Pay: $120, $140,000.00 per year
