ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT, EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND WORKPLACE GIVING

The Associate Director, Employee Engagement and Workplace Giving is part of a dynamic team responsible for corporate partnership development and fundraising in support of CARE's mission. The Associate Director, Employee Engagement and Workplace Giving is responsible for designing, implementing and growing a workplace giving program to raise critical funds from current corporate partners employees and prospects as well as engage employees in CARE's mission. This position will support Relationship Managers to integrate workplace giving and employee engagement into their existing partnerships. The role will manage and refine usage of third-party workplace giving platforms and seek to grow philanthropic support from audiences who use them. This position will also manage and facilitate existing employee engagement opportunities, e.g. US CARE Package kitting, and build new and creative engagement offerings to generate revenue. The successful candidate will have relationship management experience, an understanding of industry trends in corporate social responsibility and workplace giving, and experience on a corporate fundraising team.

Responsibilities
WORKPLACE GIVING PROGRAM STRATEGY, PLANNING AND OPERATIONS

  • Develop and lead a workplace giving strategy and program, with a focus on growing workplace giving revenue and building CARE's profile and influence among a global employee audience
  • In partnership with Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, establish workplace giving fundraising goals and targets for a portfolio of private sector partners
  • Act as a thought-partner to corporate fundraisers on the identification and implementation of workplace giving and employee engagement opportunities as part of the broader strategy and success of our corporate high-value partnerships
  • Manage planning, logistics, policies and administrative needs related to strategic pro bono volunteer experiences for partner employees
  • Lead the strategic planning and logistics for employee engagement events and campaigns, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to represent and speak at such events, including with CARE and Corporate Partner executive and senior team members
  • Delegate and/or develop, design and maintain external employee fundraising and matching gift sales and information materials such as fact sheets and digital tool kits in relation to employee engagement, corporate employee giving and matching gifts
  • Seek out opportunities to pilot and test new tactics to grow, streamline and improve our workplace giving program and offerings, such as pay-to-play engagement opportunities, standalone restricted employee fundraising campaigns, and Benevity disaster response giving features
  • Develop and track financial reporting, compile workplace giving metrics and analyze workplace giving trends

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT & FUNDRAISING

  • Over the course of the next two years, build a sustainable pathway to consistently raising $3,000,000 in employee giving and matching funds from a portfolio of private sector partners and new business
  • Develop and implement new business strategies to grow the workplace giving portfolio
  • Support RMs in managing portfolio of ATL hometown partners to grow employee engagement
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with key corporate partner contacts focused specifically on employee engagement and workplace giving
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with workplace giving federations and fundraising platforms including, Benevity, Global Impact and others, and set and lead the strategy to grow CARE's presence and influence on these channels and ultimately grow revenue from these sources.
  • Delegate and/or produce and share a steady stream of communications materials to cultivate, steward and share the impact of their support with corporate partners and their employees
  • Respond to employee giving, matching gift, and employee fundraising queries and initiatives
  • Leverage engagement opportunities to help drive additional cause marketing funds - both by creating employee champions at CARE with cause marketing partners and identifying and managing consumer activation events.
  • Assist Relationship Managers to set individual goals and manage their efforts toward the most efficient contribution to the employee engagement and workplace giving strategy
  • Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where team members strive to achieve excellence.

ENGAGEMENT & REPRESENTATION

  • Design, develop and implement meaningful and creative engagement and volunteer activities for corporate employee audiences and other stakeholders.
  • Create presentations, event and activity materials, toolkits and other resources for employee engagement and giving opportunities
  • Represent CARE at employee engagement and workplace giving events (both in-person and virtually) as a presenter and facilitator, bringing CARE's mission and work to life in compelling, tangible ways.
  • Work across the organization to secure and prepare CARE's program and subject matter experts for relevant employee engagement events and presentations
  • Recruit, organize and supervise interns, temps or volunteers as needed or required for tabling opportunities, events, administrative needs or special projects.

OPERATIONS

  • Work with CARE's gift processing team to effectively track and credit employee donations in Salesforce/CRM
  • Analyze and review giving trends and reporting.
  • Develop reporting and communications tools in CRM to better target future employee giving opportunities and to support both prospecting and stewardship.
  • Upload projects and reports into 3rd party platforms to ensure CARE is maximizing funding opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or transferable work experience and skills
  • 3+ years' experience in the field of employee engagement, communications, marketing, fundraising or advocacy
  • Successful marketing or fundraising experience or corporate workplace giving program implementation preferred
  • Strong facilitation and project management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated people skills and customer service experience, track record of managing strong professional relationships.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well independently, in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
  • Experience in MS Office, Google Drive and Office tools and CRM database software.
