Director of Lifeguard Services

At Aegis Aquatics, LLC, we're redefining pool management with a focus on safety, professionalism, and excellence. We manage, staff, and maintain community and commercial pools throughout Greater Houston, ensuring every patron experiences a safe and well-run aquatic environment.

We're seeking a Director of Lifeguard Services to lead our growing lifeguard operations team. This is a key leadership role responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising our seasonal lifeguard staff across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and certification of new and returning lifeguards.
  • Develop and manage training programs to ensure compliance with Aegis safety standards and state/local regulations.
  • Build and oversee staff schedules across multiple locations to ensure full coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate lifeguard performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between management, field staff, and clients—ensuring consistent communication and service quality.
  • Assist with emergency action planning, audits, and in-service training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of aquatic management or supervisory experience.
  • Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership and staff management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Strong understanding of pool operations, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, especially during the summer season.
