Our client, a leading precision manufacturing organization, is seeking a
Lead IT Systems Engineer
to drive the design, modernization, and support of a
hybrid Azure + on-prem infrastructure
. This role blends cloud engineering, on-prem systems management, automation, and technical leadership in a mission-critical environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design and manage scalable infrastructure in
    Azure
    and on-prem.
  • Automate provisioning and deployments (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Build monitoring and performance tools (LogicMonitor, Azure Monitor).
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Partner with security teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Support cloud migrations, hybrid architecture, and legacy infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor team members.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation.

What We're Looking For

  • 8–14+ years of IT infrastructure experience (Azure-focused).
  • Strong hybrid environment background—Azure + Microsoft on-prem systems.
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Solid understanding of networking, troubleshooting, and automation.
  • Experience with SCCM/MECM and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure/AWS DevOps) preferred.
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills.
