Shipping Lead- TX

Become a success story within our Shipping Department.

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: $24.00/HR- $26.00/HR based upon experience.

Responsibility for the following areas:

• Assist management by driving continuous improvement activities within the shipping department.
• Creates written and oral instructions that are needed in the shipping area.
• Ensure you understand company KPIs and are taking actions to meet those KPIs.
• Management of the entire Carrier relationship. Example, freight quotes, finding reliable carriers, filing claims, scheduling trucks, etc.
• Share the cultural concepts of situational leadership and facilitate the application of the transition to situational leadership.
• Must demonstrate competencies in the following areas: Leadership, Communication Proficiency, Problem Solving/Analysis, Learning Orientation, Performance Management, Technical Capacity, Personal Effectiveness/Credibility, Diversity and Inclusion, Presentation Skills.
• Perform additional tasks as needed/requested.
• Organizational Relationships
• Shipping Lead reports to the Production Supervisor.
• Shipping Lead should be receptive to the needs of both the internal and external customers of MUM Industries.
• Shipping Lead needs to interact with operations/manufacturing/materials to satisfy the needs of the customers.

Qualifications:

• Shipping background is required.
• Experience in shipping of industrial products is preferred
• Must be able to develop an in-depth knowledge of GlobalShop (ERP), knowledge should be extensive enough to train others, help others solve problems and run reports.
• Must be able to develop a comprehensive knowledge of our products and processes to be able to communicate and problem solve with freight carriers and internal departments.
• Must be capable of meeting or exceeding individual performance measures.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and a good phone personality.
