Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Clevanoo LLC Full time

Job Role: Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Duration: 6+Months

Location: Philadelphia, PA(Onsite)

Rate: $30/hr on W2

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Quality Assurance Analyst to support a variety of IT/IS and business application initiatives. The contractor will be responsible for the full QA lifecycle, from requirements analysis through test planning, design, execution, and reporting across multiple platforms and environments (both on-premises and cloud-based).

Assignments will vary depending on department priorities and may include functional, non-functional, system integration, regression testing, and UAT coordination. Manual testing will be the primary focus (approximately 90%), with limited automation activities currently being explored and developed.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret business and functional requirements; maintain end-to-end requirements traceability in ALM Quality Center.

Design, execute, and maintain detailed manual test scripts covering functional, integration, and regression scenarios to validate technical functionality and end-to-end business processes across on-prem and cloud environments. Ensure all test cases are traceable to business and system requirements and follow established documentation standards.

Create and execute automated tests, where appropriate, leveraging tools such as UFT, LoadRunner, or similar frameworks to improve test efficiency, reusability, and repeatability.

Validate APIs by designing and executing test cases to verify request/response accuracy, parameter handling, data integrity, and error conditions. Perform both functional and integration testing of API endpoints to ensure proper system interoperability and adherence to business and security requirements.

Verify reports and underlying data using SQL/PLSQL, ensuring outputs (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) accurately reflect data from source systems. Validate joins, aggregations, business rules, and calculated fields to confirm the integrity and reliability of analytical and operational reporting.

Log, track, and retest defects within ALM QC, ensuring each issue is well-documented, reproducible, and properly categorized. Partner with developers and business subject matter experts to analyze impacts, confirm resolutions, and maintain transparency throughout the defect lifecycle.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, coordination, and execution with business stakeholders, ensuring test scenarios align with real business processes and requirements. Provide guidance during execution, track results, document findings, and assist with defect resolution and sign-off activities.

Participate in peer reviews, providing constructive feedback on test documentation, results, and process improvements.

Adhere to established QA procedures, documentation standards, and templates to ensure compliance with organizational QA policies.

Provide clear and concise daily progress updates and participate in QA status and review meetings.

Collaborate with and support other QA team members on shared initiatives and cross-functional testing efforts as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on QA experience, including test planning, test design, scripting, execution, and defect management.

Proven expertise in ALM Quality Center (requirements management, test design, execution tracking, defect lifecycle management, reporting).

Strong SQL/PLSQL skills for test data setup, data validation, and backend verification.

Solid understanding of QA and project management methodologies, SDLC, and defect lifecycle management aligned with IEEE, ISO, or other similar industry standards.

Experience with testing web applications, APIs, and Windows-based systems across multiple platforms and environments.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with high attention to detail and process consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with utility industry systems, including Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, collections, or field service operations.

Experience with LoadRunner, UFT, or other test automation tools (script creation, execution, and result analysis).

Experience validating BI/analytics reports using Tableau or Power BI.

Professional certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent QA credentials.

Performance Expectations:

Maintain complete requirements-to-test coverage with measurable traceability in ALM QC.

Deliver high-quality test documentation and consistent, accurate execution results.

Ensure accurate and timely defect reporting, retesting, and closure.

Demonstrate adherence to internal QA standards, templates, and reporting expectations.

Contribute to continuous QA process improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
