Purpose
Responsibilities
Perform one or more following routine clerical responsibilities by specific and detailed accounting procedures or the management's direction.
Essential Duties
- 20% Examine, verify and correct accounting transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy of data and proper identification of accounts.
- 20% Check that expenditures will not exceed obligations in specific accounts.
- 20% Total, Balance and reconcile collection vouchers.
- 20% Post data to transaction sheets where he or she identifies proper accounts and items to be posted.
- 20% Code documents in accordance with listing of accounts.
- General business support function as assigned.

Salary: $ $22.75
This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of routine clerical methods and office practices and procedures as they related to the clerical processing and recording of transactions and accounting information.
- Relative computer knowledge and skills.
Organization Relationships:
Reports to Accounting Assistant Manager
Work Environment
