Product Developer / Project Manager – Multi-Brand Development (YCD)

About YCD

At YCD, we help emerging and growing brands bring their visions to life — from concept to final product. Acting as their design, development, and production team, we bridge creativity with execution to make the product development process seamless and strategic. We partner with multiple brands across categories and handle everything from sourcing and costing to production management.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Developer / Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and loves being part of the building process. This is not a purely creative design role — it's about making things happen. You'll oversee projects for multiple brands, manage timelines, coordinate with factories and fabric mills, and ensure that every detail is executed to perfection.

You'll be the bridge between clients and production — helping turn ideas into reality while keeping everything on track, on budget, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product development timelines and ensure milestones are met across multiple brands.
  • Communicate daily with clients, factories, and fabric mills (both domestic and overseas).
  • Handle product costing, fabric sourcing, and sample management.
  • Create and update CAD line sheets for each brand to track design progress.
  • Create detailed tech packs and communicate with factories to bring designs to life.
  • Work closely with the founder on product strategy, sourcing, and brand direction.
  • Manage samples and fittings, ensuring quality and consistency across all styles.
  • Create and manage WIP reports to track development and production status.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Support the founder in day-to-day project coordination and process improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the clothing or apparel industry.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of product development, sourcing, and production processes.
  • Experience working with both domestic and overseas factories is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with multiple accounts/brands is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with clients and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small business environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn — thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Be part of a small, collaborative team where your ideas matter.
  • Gain first-hand experience across all aspects of product development and production.
  • Work directly with diverse brands and see tangible results from your efforts.
  • Learn the ins and outs of how real products — and brands — are built from the ground up.
