Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related field, with 2 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Required Skills:

Must be able to meet DoD 8140 IAT Level II requirements within 12 weeks of hireMust have CCNA or higher Cisco professional certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hireExperience with (or knowledge of) Cisco routing and switching design and configurationExperience deploying or managing TACLANEs or other cryptographic equipmentExperience with Microsoft Office applications, including VisioPotential for travel (CONUS and OCONUS - Up to 10% per year and up to 14 days at a time) and ability to obtain a US Passport

Desired Skills:

Experience deploying and managing Palo Alto firewallsExperience with network management and monitoring toolsets such as Cisco ISE, Instant Connect Enterprise, Wireshark, and OpManagerFamiliarity with Windows and Linux workstation and server configuration and operationFamiliarity with multicast network configuration, operation, and troubleshootingFamiliarity with Cisco Unified Communications and AV endpoints such as VoIP Phones and VTC UnitsFamiliarity with MDA Ground Test, Flight Test, War Games, or ExercisesFamiliarity with the creating of Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) documents

SAIC has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Network Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) on Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Directorate for Ground Test (DTG).

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the design, implementation, and support of LAN/WAN networks and systemsAssisting with the development and maintenance of network system and service configurationsDocumenting and troubleshooting network and system issuesCreating and maintaining network diagrams and documentationAssisting with the configuration, implementation, and utilization of network tools such as Cisco ISE, Instant Connect Enterprise, Wireshark and OpManagerProviding network monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting during Missile Defense Agency (MDA) test eventsProviding communications (Secure VoIP, Secure Chat) support during MDA test eventsCoordinating with MDA elements to gather and verify connectivity information required for MDA test events and creating an Event Communications Baseline document for that test eventAbility to travel occasionally (up to 10%) to support various hardware upgrades at remote sitesAbility to work infrequent night shifts (with prior notice) to support MDA test events
