Job Overview

Optium Capital is currently the largest investment in the multi-billion dollar U.S settlement claim acquisition niche. A unique sector within the Litigation Finance space that is unfamiliar to most, we earn our exceptional returns by incorporating creative approaches to increasing the value of legal claim rights.

Although it sounds technical, it's actually rooted more in observations than statistics. Our analysis ranges from increasing payouts to corn farmers overcharged on seeds to hotel operators overcharged for flat screen televisions. Every case involves businesses advancing capital to medium to global businesses illegally overcharged by suppliers.

An investment analyst leads projects that gather transaction data, compiles B2B transaction volume and more until a forecast model is created that accurately predicts returns years ahead of distribution

The analysts transforms concepts into profits.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with high intellectual curiosity and the ability to quantify risks and returns in financial models they are trained to easily build.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate company financial, geographic and operating information into industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain presentation-ready financial models that substantiate our profit forecasts using Microsoft Excel and collaborative file sharing apps/databases that fuse metrics from a wide variety of sources.
  • Share acquired expertise with a data visualization approach similar to an artistic representation of an unconventional approach to arriving at a rational forecast.
  • Perform quantitative research and analysis leveraging industry data, consumer trends and other unconventional metrics
  • Support the research required to test creative initiatives that become business analysis that optimizes financial performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports that communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in the integration of new data sources and improve existing data collection processes for enhanced analytics capabilities.

Requirements

  • Comfort navigating Microsoft Excel to the point of being able to troubleshoot your own formulas.
  • Aptitude to maintain a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel through self instruction when needed to improve efficiency and produce a desired outcome.
  • Ability to figure out new platforms we my purchase a subscription solely for your project requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for writing detailed financial reports and presenting insights effectively.
  • Preference for small company environment versus a large traditional corporate culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $120,000.00 per year
