Job Description: This job is responsible for managing a team comprised of field-based lending officers who provide clients with guidance regarding appropriate loan programs and processes and engage in loan origination activities that include partnering with Realtors, Builders, or other business partners in the local market. The leader will drive Enterprise initiatives and strategies focused on client experience, client relationships, digital capabilities and operational excellence and provide leadership to market aligned originators. The Lending Market Leader will prepare and participate in aligned management routines, including team routines, market visits, and completing assessments and aligned coaching. Occasionally, the Lending Market Leader may prepare or participate in Realtor/Builder functions including local broker tour activities, affinity group meetings and seminars and conventions. Additionally, the Lending Market Leader will recruit, hire, coach, counsel and ensure skill development and product, credit, income, asset, guideline and pricing proficiency within their team. The leader should be able to build partnerships across the organization, integrate and drive strategic management and have experience in coaching and developing lending officers to deliver a client relationship oriented culture. The leader is responsible for holding specialists accountable to deepen client relationships by following established client relationship care processes and building robust Consumer and Enterprise partner relationships while adhering to regulatory, securities and supervision laws, policies and procedures.
This position may be responsible for the provision of residential mortgage loans, and as such, is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Act registration, employees are required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and holds specialists accountable for deepening client relationships by following established client relationship care processes, building partnerships across the organization to bridge relationships between the client and bank, and adhering to regulatory, securities and supervision laws, policies, and procedures
- Prepares and participates in management and team routines, conducts market visits, and ensures specialists deepen their customer relationships by following established relationship care processes and regulatory procedures
- Develops and executes enterprise and customer-driven market strategies to drive operational excellence, enhance the customer experience and relationships, and promote digital capabilities
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional ethics and is thorough and thoughtful in incorporating relevant regulatory due diligence, focusing on responsible growth and adhering with the risk tolerance framework
- Builds partnerships across the bank, integrates and drives strategic management activities, and develops specialists to deliver a client relationship oriented culture

Required Qualifications:
Enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and intense focus on results, acting in the best interest of the client

Displays passion, commitment and drive to deliver an experience that improves our clients' financial lives
5+ years of mortgage/origination experience
Demonstrated credit acumen, proficiency in complex income calculation, knowledge of loan guidelines and pricing
Confident in identifying solutions for clients based on their needs and can resolve problems independently or bring in others as needed
Communicates effectively and confidently and is comfortable engaging all clients
Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms
Applies strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet clients' needs as well as escalate as needed with sense of urgency
Will follow established processes and guidelines in daily activities to do what is right for clients and the bank, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations
Can attract, recruit and retain an effective sales and operations team
Efficiently manages time and capacity
Can manage complexity, prioritize tasks, delegate and execute in a fast-paced environment
Can interpret performance results, find opportunities to drive success and hold others accountable to results
Can be flexible to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed
Travel required: Will vary depending on geography
Proficient in computer skills and professional programs (example: Microsoft Office)
Ability to pass compliance requirements
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in residential mortgage sales
Experience with sales/bank operations and building, leading, managing and coaching a team
Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products and solutions
Experience working in an environment with individual and team goals where goals were routinely met or exceeded
