Minimum Required Skills/Abilities

• Bachelor's in Accounting required
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred
• Five or more years of accounting experience
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
• Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Able to work independently and solve problems related to data discrepancies
• Demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong follow-up with attention to detail and accuracy
• Possess good verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations of as companies assigned
• Oversee and assist with month-end closing processes including but not limited to commissions, carrier reporting, and other miscellaneous reporting
• Prepare, review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and bank/credit card reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation and review of timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Complete and monitor daily cash reports and discuss exceptions in a timely manner
• Review inter-company transactions and manage reconciliations between separate companies
• Support financial audits and assist with conducting other audits
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Other duties as assigned by management
