Position Summary

The
Patient Care Coordinator
serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and referral sources. This role is vital in ensuring a seamless patient experience—from scheduling and insurance coordination to supporting clinicians with documentation and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and manage front office reception duties in a welcoming, professional manner.
  • Marketing to new referral sources
  • Handle patient care plans, scheduling, and prosthetic device orders.
  • Communicate with referral sources, physicians, and therapists regarding patient care needs.
  • Verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and assist with billing documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Assist with office organization and daily workflow to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Spanish speaking is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare administration, patient coordination, or medical office setting (prosthetics/orthotics experience a plus).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered attitude.
  • Reliable transportation is required
