Job Summary:
We are seeking entry-level Dry Plant/Equipment Operators to monitor and operate machinery at our frac sand drying plant, which includes drying, loadout, and storage facilities. This role may involve operating heavy machinery, with training provided on specific equipment. Your primary location will be in Bainville, MT, with a new site opening in 2025 near Williston, ND. You will assist in the operation and maintenance of the drying plant, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will operate and monitor drying equipment, conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, and perform both routine and emergency maintenance. You will also monitor temperature and moisture levels for compliance, maintain production and equipment performance records, and work with team members to troubleshoot issues. Additional responsibilities include assisting in loading and unloading sand, managing inventory levels, and participating in construction projects as needed. Adhering to safety protocols in a noisy and dusty plant environment is essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates should possess basic mechanical skills and a general knowledge of hand tools, with technical training or experience in a related field considered a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills are important, as well as basic math skills for simple calculations. The ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like shoveling and climbing is required, along with a willingness to work flexible schedules, including 8-12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
