Assistant Project Developer

The Team: Lifespan Construction is a family-owned and operated residential remodeling serving Thurston County since 2010. We specialize in kitchen, bathroom, and whole home remodels. We believe meaningful relationships are at the heart of what we do and we run a drama-free company.
Overview: The Project Development Assistant wears many hats and assists in several areas - Sales support, estimating support, material order management, drafting and simple CAD/Sketchup work, etc.
Here's a more in depth look at what you'll be doing day to day:
Sales Support
- Assist Project Developers with sales calls, measure ups, and attend meetings with clients
- Photo document all projects and upload to the client folder on the Team Drive
- Work up as built designs and prepare for design work using Chief Architect and/or SketchUp
- Estimating projects and preparing them for review by the Project Developers
- Writing scopes and finding products for projects
- Updating all pricing in estimates by sending price requests out to subs and suppliers
- Preparing binders for the projects and collecting specifications
- Help to maintain our Sub and Supplier database
- Assist with finding new subs and suppliers, managing sales reps for studio
Tech
- Proficient in Google Drive
- Prefer experience in SketchUp, CAD or Chief Architect
Materials Management
- Order all materials as directed by the Project Developers
- Create and maintain material trackers and monitor timing
- Receive all materials and route to the proper area
- Deliver materials to the site at the correct times
- Pick up materials at various suppliers and deliver to the site
- Facilitate returns of any materials - ship backs, store returns, etc.
- Keep materials storage organized
- Sell any materials that we cannot return
General
- Facilities Maintenance - assist with shop and showroom tasks, cleaning, organizing
- Maintain a tidy and organized desk area in the office
- Attire to be appropriate for the day's work - nice clothes for sales calls and presentations, work clothes for other days.
- Assist with events such as the Tour of Homes, etc.
- Attend functions after hours if needed
Education
- Attend industry training annually with Project Developers - KBIS, JLC Live, OMB
- Seek industry credentials - CGR - CGB - Etc.
- Specific Training in areas of CAD, Sketchup, Spreadsheets, etc. as needed
- Training from Subs and Suppliers on products and services
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This position is full time hrs/week) and DOE with opportunities to earn more with time and performance. Benefits include paid flex days, gas allowance, simple matching IRA, Medical. Use of company vehicles when available.
