Associate VDC Drawing Production Manager, Electrical

Denver, Colorado, United States Viatechnik Full time $70,000 - $90,000 per year

This is a remote role within the United States. US work authorization is required.

Join VIATechnik, the global leader in driving digital transformation and innovation across the built environment. Our 350+ experts around the world partner with the most ambitious owners, builders, and trades to tackle projects that shape skylines, transform infrastructure, and reimagine how the built world works. From pioneering Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) delivery to creating next-generation digital twins, custom software, and AI solutions, we deliver breakthroughs that set new standards in design, construction, and operations on some of the largest and most complex projects in the world.

The role:

This is not your typical drafting role.

As an Associate Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Drawing Production Manager, you'll be at the center of electrical digital shop drawing delivery, turning design intent into clear, coordinated, and constructible drawings that support real-world field execution. This isn't about moving redlines, it's about ensuring production clarity, enabling collaboration, and driving results. You'll serve as the vital link between VDC Managers, Project Managers, and production teams, ensuring technical precision and timely delivery across high-impact projects.

This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, hybrid, or in-office, depending on your location and project needs. We're actively hiring across all U.S. time zones.

What's in it for you:

Purpose – Drive Execution Through Clarity and Coordination

This role exists to ensure that VIATechnik's VDC production teams deliver high-quality, technically accurate, and coordinated shop drawings that align with scope and construction intent. By bridging requests from VDC Managers and delivering clear direction to specialists, you'll ensure seamless execution across a range of project types.

Growth – Build Toward VDC Leadership

This role is designed as a growth path toward VDC management. As you gain experience managing deliverables, QA/QC workflows, and team coordination, you'll be eligible for future promotion into VDC Manager or Project Manager roles. You'll also gain cross-functional exposure to multiple clients, systems, and project types.

Motivators – Clarity. Execution. Precision.

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy structured workflows, task ownership, and supporting delivery through clarity and follow-through. This is a role for someone who likes solving problems through coordination, is detail-oriented, and enjoys enabling others to execute their best work.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Coordinate Drawing Production Across Multiple Active Projects: within 30 days, take ownership of coordinating at least 3–5 active shop drawing projects. Ensure production teams receive timely, clear direction and that completed drawings meet technical and quality standards. Use automation and analytics to flag schedule risks, budget overruns, and resource needs early.
  • Establish and Run QA/QC for Drawing Deliverables: within 60–90 days, establish reliable QA/QC review processes across multiple deliverables, ensuring that all drawing packages are technically sound, constructible, and client-ready before submittal. Leverage performance dashboards and feedback loops to scale effectively.
  • Contribute to One Internal Process Improvement Initiative: within 90 days, identify and support one opportunity to improve internal workflows (e.g., intake forms, tracking tools, production documentation). Collaborate with leadership and peers.

Culture and Situation Fit:

You'll be working in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment where clear communication, proactive coordination, and attention to detail are essential. This is a role that balances structure with change, you'll be expected to follow and enforce standards while also contributing to improvement. The team is cross-functional, geographically distributed, and highly supportive. You'll thrive if you enjoy staying organized, learning quickly, and enabling others to succeed.

Compensation and Featured Benefits:

  • The pay for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses. The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience.
  • Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen).
  • Dental and vision insurance. We cover 75% of the monthly insurance premiums for VIATechies and 50% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plans chosen).
  • Open and flexible time off.
  • A 401(k) plan that is fully vested immediately.
  • Home office setup costs.
  • Paid holidays

Application Information:

We'd like to hear your story. During the application process, you'll be asked to submit a short summary (1–2 paragraphs or 1/2 page) of a comparable accomplishment you've delivered. Think about one that is something similar in scope, complexity, or business impact to the challenges described in the job description.
