Responsibilities

  • Safely operate shuttle vehicles, including buses, limousines, and paratransit vans, along assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, alighting, and any special needs or requests
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
  • Load and unload cargo or luggage carefully, often requiring heavy lifting and proper handling techniques
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or maintenance issues
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and relay important information
  • Handle unexpected situations professionally, including traffic delays or passenger concerns, with clear communication skills

Requirements

  • Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar commercial driving roles
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for buses or heavy vehicles) with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills to interact confidently with passengers and team members
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early
  • Experience in customer service environments is highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends or holidays as needed
