Company Description

Middle Path Counseling MO/KS is a dedicated team of counselors specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). We provide personalized counseling services to clients aged 18 and older. Services are offered both online in Kansas and Missouri, as well as in-person in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. We strive to create a supportive and understanding environment to help individuals reach their mental health goals.

Role Description

The DBT Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area -
Particularly in the Blue Springs, MO location
.

Responsibilities include conducting individual psychotherapy sessions sessions a week) , facilitating group therapy (1 group) with a focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and maintaining detailed clinical records. The counselor will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide psychoeducation to clients, and participate in professional development trainings to enhance clinical practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and general psychotherapy practices
  • Strong skills in communication, active listening, and providing compassionate care to clients
  • Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to ethical guidelines
  • Proficiency in collaborating within a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Licensure in Kansas or Missouri as a Counselor, Social Worker, or equivalent
  • Experience working with clients aged 18 and up is preferred

We are accepting applications from PLPC, LPC, LCPC and the like. We can possibly provide supervision in Missouri and Kansas for non-clinical licensed level clinicians.
