Who we are:

Electronic Mobility Controls, LLC (EMC) is an international company based in Augusta, Maine. We design and manufacture adaptive driving systems that give individuals with high-level disabilities the freedom and independence of mobility through our AEVIT system.

We are looking to add an Installation Technician to our growing team to support vehicle installations and system integration.

Job Summary:

The Installation Technician is responsible for installing EMC adaptive driving systems into customer vehicles. This role involves mechanical and electrical work, attention to detail, and working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure safe, high-quality installations.

We are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Install EMC adaptive driving systems into customer vehicles
  • Perform mechanical and basic electrical integration following documented procedures
  • Route and secure wiring, mounts, and components cleanly and safely
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and service teams as needed
  • Troubleshoot basic installation or fitment issues
  • Follow quality, safety, and documentation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform all job duties with honesty and integrity

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic mechanical aptitude required
  • Basic electrical knowledge preferred
  • Automotive installation experience is a plus
  • Fabrication or welding experience is a plus (not required)
  • Ability to read and follow installation documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working around vehicles, tools, and shop equipment
  • Valid driver's license required
