Summary:

Join the Schilling-verse Schilling Cider fosters a fun, creative, and growth-focused workplace. We re looking for a hands-on Kitchen Lead to join our Portland team and ensure consistency, quality, and collaboration in our gluten-free kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example on the line, ensuring smooth service, teamwork, and consistent execution.
  • Train and coach kitchen staff while maintaining open communication with FOH.
  • Oversee daily operations, food quality, and cleanliness.
  • Assist GM with ordering, inventory, and cost management.
  • Track waste and food costs to meet financial goals.
  • Maintain food safety logs and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate on menu updates and seasonal items.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a high-performing cook or lead in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Reliable, motivated, and detail oriented.
  • Current Oregon Food Handler s and OLCC Permits.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work nights/weekends.
  • Interest in cider and sustainability is a plus.

Compensation:

  • $20 $25/hr DOE + tips
  • Medical/Dental/Vision, 401(k) with match
