Overview:
MSA has an opportunity for an Engineering Technician II – Civil at our Madison, WI office location. The Engineering Technician position supports engineers and designers by performing project tasks such as CAD drafting, plan set development, detailing, code reviews, submittal review, construction services, site observations, survey and staking, and other field work as necessary. This position is in our Public Works Service Line, with a wide variety of project types such as utilities, sanitary/sewer, roads, wastewater, and more.

Responsibilities:
The work you may do
- Construction inspection on a variety of municipal projects
- Quantity verification and Contractor communication
- Reviewing and understanding design plans
- Computations, reduction of field notes, filing and retrieving prints, and running prints
- Construction Staking
- Wastewater, street, sewer, and water utility design in Civil 3D
- Completing redline revisions to plans
Qualifications:
What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related degree preferred
- 2 or more years of related experience required
- A valid driver's license is required
- Prior experience with Civil 3D preferred
