Teladoc Health, Inc. seeks Senior Software Engineer (Multiple Openings) at its facility located at 155 E 44th Street, 17th Floor, New York, New York 10017.

Responsible for architecting, designing, and developing custom solutions to provide scalable, reliable, and secure solutions adhering to the software development lifecycle. Perform peer code reviews and coordinate production releases with the product owner and stakeholders within the organization. Provide timely updates to the direct manager regarding the team's progress. Act as the standard bearer for the team's development, maintenance, design patterns, and culture. Implement development standards, create internal presentations on best practices, tutorials, and engage in pair programming with developers getting comfortable with the language. Understand and work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, evaluating and adapting complex techniques, and establishing criteria for obtaining results. Advise others on complex matters. Design, build, and implement high-quality software solutions. Establish technical decisions and directions for one or multiple projects/teams. Manage team demands and delegate technical execution or responsibilities when appropriate. Direct the technical aspects of operations related to escalated client accounts or high-severity issues as they affect or confront a project or team. Address both business and technical considerations when designing solutions to project/team or company-related issues. Actively work to improve the company's technical awareness, depth, and use of technology across the business while establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships. Participate in the evolution of company-level best practices, standards, and policies as they relate to software development. Provide leadership and mentorship in emerging technologies and prepare Teladoc Health and engineers for productively integrating the same into the business. Telecommuting: 100% Telecommuting.

REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology Management or a related field. Plus 8 years of experience as a Software Developer, Frontend Developer, or an occupation involving modern JavaScript framework-based development, systems integration, or enterprise software engineering. Alternatively, the employer will accept: This position requires a master's degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology Management or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Frontend Developer, or an occupation involving modern JavaScript framework-based development, systems integration, or enterprise software engineering. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Front-end development using web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and modern JS frameworks (React or Angular); (2) Integrating RESTful APIs in scalable, multi-tier systems; (3) Writing unit tests and using Docker to maintain consistent development and testing environments; (4) Contributing to architecture, system design, and technical documentation; and (5) Responsive design and web accessibility best practices.

RATE OF PAY:
$ 189, $ 204,000.00 per year
