Role Description:
The Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst will play a key role in supporting federal government programs by ensuring compliance with critical cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining FISMA and RMF processes, conducting security assessments, and supporting continuous monitoring of federal IT systems. The Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst will collaborate with technical teams and program managers to strengthen cybersecurity posture, ensure audit readiness, and uphold compliance with DoD and federal policies. This role requires an active Secret clearance and strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and sustainment of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and FISMA compliance activities.
- Conduct security control assessments, document results, and support remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Prepare and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and other authorization package documentation.
- Assist with continuous monitoring activities, including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with system owners, engineers, and program managers to ensure systems remain compliant with federal security requirements.
- Track and ensure adherence to DoD and federal cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulations.
- Provide audit support and assist in responding to internal and external security inspections or assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
- Experience with network monitoring/ vulnerability management tools.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT or network infrastructure projects with the ability to balance hands-on technical execution and strategic project management.
- Relevant networking certification (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIP, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior IT staff.
- Strong knowledge of network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster a collaborative and positive teamwork environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting DHS or DoD cybersecurity compliance efforts.
Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity policies and continuous monitoring requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
