CAD Technician

Beach Lake Sprinkler Fire Protection Services, a subsidiary of Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Company, was founded in 1992 and is a well-rounded fire protection company with two offices: Beach Lake, PA and Brooksville, FL. We excel in new construction, renovation, retrofit, and service work for warehouse, distribution, pharmaceutical, hospital, nursing home, industrial, residential and retail markets.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Technician to join our team in Beach Lake, PA. A CAD Technician uses software to create detailed technical drawings and plans for buildings, machinery, or products. Collaborating with engineers, architects, and designers, the CAD Technician helps develop precise models and schematics that serve as the basis for manufacturing, construction, or product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software.
• Interpret technical briefings, sketches, and specifications from engineers and architects.
• Amend and revise drawings in response to feedback, design changes, and site visits.
• Ensure drawings comply with legal, industry, and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve design or documentation issues.
• Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and documentation following the company's filing system.
• Perform regular quality checks on drawings and models.
• Support design teams in project planning, modeling, and visualization tasks.
• Stay updated with advancements in CAD technologies and practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of engineering or architectural drawings and principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Relevant qualification: Diploma or degree in CAD, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Previous experience as a CAD Technician or in a related technical drawing role preferred.
