Job Summary

Bosna Grocery is seeking a store manager for daily operations including cashier, customer service, stocking and inventory management. We offer 2 week PTO with an additional week at 3 years and another after 5. Full insurance benefits including dental vision and health as well matching IRA. We are a small business that serves our European community to the best of our ability so good communication and customer service is extremely important to us as well as good organizational skills to manage our growing inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Manage payroll, scheduling, and shift management to optimize store operations.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, purchasing, pricing strategies, and shrink control.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping, cash handling procedures, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations.
  • Implement marketing initiatives and merchandising plans to attract customers and increase sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and store standards at all times.

Skills

  • Proven management experience with a strong background in retail sales and team supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math for sales analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases but not required
  • Experience in employee orientation, training & development, interviewing candidates, and recruiting top talent.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, pricing strategies, merchandising techniques, and marketing principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supervising staff within grocery or general retail environments.
  • Skilled in cash handling procedures, cashiering operations, and store bookkeeping practices.
  • Ability to manage time effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service excellence.
