The Nurse Scheduling Manager is responsible for managing the schedules of nursing and clinical staff for home health visits, and ensuring that required medications or pharmaceutical supplies are delivered and available in the patient's home in a timely manner. This role acts as a bridge between clinical teams, pharmacy/distribution, patients, and operations to maintain high-quality, efficient home care.. The Manager will also monitor the quality and performance of contracted nurses and will proactively source and onboard new nursing vendors to ensure nationwide coverage and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and adjust daily/weekly/monthly nurse/visit schedules, matching nurses (RNs) to patient needs, considering geography, skillset, license, and continuity of care.
  • Monitor open shifts, call-ins, cancellations, and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Communicate schedule changes to clinicians, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with case managers, care coordinators, and operations to prioritize assignments.
  • Liaise with pharmacies, drug distribution teams, logistics or third-party vendors to coordinate delivery and stocking.
  • Track inventory levels, reorder thresholds, and anticipate needs across patient populations.
  • Resolve issues with delays, shortages, or mismatches in medication deliveries
  • Act as point of contact for clinicians, patients, caregivers, and pharmacy teams regarding scheduling or medication issues.
  • Provide reminders or confirmation to patients/families for visits and ensure medication readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records of schedules, deliveries, medication status, vendor communications, and exception logs.
  • Review nurse documentation and feedback to assess adherence to clinical protocols and service quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to validate compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare coordination, scheduling, or operations role.
  • Experience working with home health or infusion therapy, preferably including IVIG or specialty biologics.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using scheduling systems, EHRs, and Excel/Google Sheets.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing third-party vendors or external contractors.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory requirements in home infusion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70, $85,000.00 per year
