Position Description

The Enterprise Applications Functional Manager (Manufacturing) leads the Enterprise Applications Functional Analysts Manufacturing Team for the North America Business Unit, which is comprised of cross-functional Enterprise Applications Analysts for SAP. The EAFA team resides within the larger North American Information Systems team, with this role reporting to the leader of the Enterprise Applications Functional Analysts Team. Primary areas of focus are the execution of SAP strategy, people development, and enhancing business value derived from support, enhancements and optimization of SAP to support business processes. Key to success in this role is the ability to anticipate obstacles and problem solve preemptively, while effectively managing conflict and risk. This role is charged with driving a culture of continuous improvement through measurement and optimization. As we continue to execute our growth strategy over the coming years, this position will play an active role in owning the preparation for and execution of the integration of acquired businesses to our Enterprise Applications platform.

Essential Functions:

  • Actively manage the EAFA team, day-to-day, with courageous leadership, operating with a people first approach and ensuring the most value is elicited from each resource; intently and consistently focused on seizing all opportunities for coaching and development of the individuals and the team
  • Responsible for the learning plan and professional development strategy of EAFA team to strengthen SAP experience and understanding of the application, resulting in both a more broad and more detailed understanding of the application
  • Responsible for the design, execution and communication of the quantitative metrics and qualitative assessments which drive SAP support, from inception through delivery, ultimately providing insight to support volume, reason/source of initiation and resolution activity/timeline, thereby enabling change resulting in volume reduction and increased user accountability
  • Design, implement and manage documentation policy and procedure for the EAFA team, ensuring compliance with policy and value-add activities in the procedure, including critical components such as defining relationships between documents, standardizing templates and ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of the SAP escalations process, proactively managing immediate resolution of production level 1 issues, including conducting an After Action Review and implementing improvements to eliminate future occurrences of the issue
  • Responsible for all SAP solutions delivered by the EAFA team from inception to delivery, including guiding and supporting analysis, evaluating technical design, determining cross-functional impact and seamless implementation to production
  • Design, implement and manage design review policy and procedure for new SAP solutions, inclusive of technical design review, cross functional evaluation and adherence to SAP strategy and global design; promoting transparency of all changes, solicitation of feedback on design and creation of optimum solutions
  • Lead the work activities with full management responsibility for the EAFA team; responsible for equal focus on all functional areas
  • Develop communication strategy with key stakeholders, driving continuous improvement for processes and increasing ownership of support by the business
  • Ensure seamless transition for all enhancements and projects into production by managing knowledge transition and support preparedness

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Continuously seeking learning opportunities, resulting in familiarization in modules and processes outside their core area of expertise
  • Demonstrated mid-level or above proficiency with MS Office Excel, analyzing and manipulating large datasets.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
  • Strong business aptitude, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience extracting data and developing reports in an ERP environment.
  • Deep understanding of how the business cycles of order-to-cash, source-to-pay, plan-to-inventory, and record-to-report are managed in an ERP environment
  • Understanding of the business functions of a manufacturing enterprise from a finance, supply chain, and business analysis perspective.
  • Certification preferred include: Six Sigma, PMP, APICS, SAP Certification or similar.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, complex, and changing environment.
  • Able to work independently, adapting as necessary in a change-oriented culture with multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressure.
  • Strong balance of technical and people skills, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead cross-functionally and communicate appropriately with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to learn, transfer knowledge, and stay aware of current industry trends and developments.
  • Proactive approach to system, team, and process effectiveness; with an ability to identify, couple, and sequence continuous improvement solutions in a logically balanced manner.
  • Strong desire to solve complex business problems through understanding of business processes, data architecture, business/resource constraints, and system capabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (or significant relevant work experience) and 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a functional resource of an SAP system.
  • Experience in manufacturing or similar industry preferred.
  • Experience with multiple SAP modules focused on manufacturing preferred.
  • Project management experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience with defining, writing and implementing business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex technical matters as well as the ability to convey to stakeholders.

Position-Specific Work Requirements:

  • May be required to travel up to 15% - 20% of the time based on business needs
  • Must comply and acknowledge the "Refresco Job Requirements" policy reviewed during new hire's onboarding.
  • This position requires travel for on-site on-boarding at the onset of employment, for a period of 2 weeks, possibly longer.
  • Due to the impact that this role has on Refresco North American operations, travel on short notice to provide business critical support may be required.
