Work Description
Seeking an experienced
Project Lead
who shall conduct IT project coordination activities which include project management, project planning, project monitoring, and project status reporting.

This position shall lead small IT operational projects/efforts with cross-functional teams and their managers to request the resources/participants needed to achieve project goals.

The successful applicant shall be expected to build strong relationships across the various IT teams.

Worker Skills And Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience leading and managing IT Operational projects from initiation to closure, including scope, schedule, tasks, budget adherence, and resource management, while providing comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring successful project handover.
  • 4–7 years proficient at developing and managing the following Project deliverables: project scope document, project schedule/plan, communication plans, cost estimates/analysis, Change Approval Board (CAB) documents, training plans, contingency plans, and post implementation transition/support plans.
  • 4–7 years experience leading and clearly communicating project expectations and project progress to sponsors, team members, and stakeholders, through project status meetings, and up-to-date project status reports.
  • 4–7 years experience identifying and managing project milestones, dependencies, critical path, risks, issues, and developing contingency plans as necessary.
  • 4–7 years experience requesting and managing project resources, facilitating collaboration across IT teams and departments, and coordinating/assigning tasks to meet project objectives.
  • 4–7 years technical writing experience compiling formal business documentation around a regulated industry.
  • 4–7 years experience using MS Project to track progress of tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
  • 4–7 years proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint, Visio, and WebEx.

Preferred (Optional)

  • Yes – Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
  • 1–2 years experience with ServiceNow.
  • 2–4 years experience working at an Electric Utility or other municipality.
