Job Summary
Charlie's of Bay Head is seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent guest relations skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and staff.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods, ensuring timely updates for guests.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, handling inquiries and reservations with excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Utilize the RESY system for managing reservations and seating efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
- Proficient in using Reservation systems; experience with RESY is advantageous.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends, as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
