As an
Operations Associate,
you'll design, implement, and optimize advanced automation systems that keep Blazel running efficiently. You'll work directly with the Head of Operations to connect data across tools, automate internal and client-facing processes, and ensure reliability and transparency across workflows.

This role sits at the intersection of
operations, engineering, and systems design
, with the opportunity to touch nearly every team at Blazel — from sales and customer success to AI and product.

A high-level understanding of Hubspot objects, properties, and associations is required, especially concerning integration with n8n to build powerful workflows that go far beyond Hubspot's internal automation capabilities.

Some examples of projects you will be working on:

  • An AI ticketing system that tracks requests across Email, Slack, and Whatsapp and can proactively respond to clients and solve action requests.
  • A churn risk calculator that takes input from client messages, response times, delivery deadlines, and performance metrics then formulaically provides a score in real time which tells us which clients we need to be focusing on the most.
  • An AI SDR agent that brings in top-of-funnel leads for our AEs to close.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and maintain automations
    across tools like
    HubSpot, n8n, Slack, Google, Stripe, and other APIs
    .
  • Configure Hubspot objects, properties, and associations.
  • Create and manage
    custom webhooks, HTTP requests, and API integrations
    between key systems.
  • Develop workflows for:
  • Client churn-risk tracking and management
  • AI-driven ticket routing and automation
  • Client data sync and enrichment
  • Internal sales enablement and tracking
  • Automated communications and reporting
  • Document and monitor automation health, ensuring high reliability and easy debugging.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate operational workflows into the product ecosystem.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency across business processes.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with
    HubSpot
    and
    n8n
    (or equivalent automation builders).
  • Proficiency in building
    custom webhooks, HTTP requests, and API connections
    .
  • Ability to design modular, maintainable automations that scale with company growth.
  • Excellent systems thinking and documentation habits.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with
    Zapier, Zendesk, Salesforce
    ,
    Stripe
    or similar tools.
  • Some experience or understanding of
    software engineering concepts
    (e.g. version control, JSON, error handling).
