The Opportunity Are you a passionate cheer coach ready to inspire the next generation of athletes? We're seeking a dynamic cheer trainer with flexible availability who is excited to develop young athletes and build our growing Sportset Kids cheer program. This is your chance to join an established youth sports community while sharing your cheerleading expertise and helping kids shine on and off the mat
What Makes This Different: We provide an established youth sports program with built-in enrollment support – no program development from scratch required Your focus is on what you do best: delivering exceptional cheer instruction and performance development while building lasting relationships with young athletes and their families.
What You'll Do:
- Lead engaging cheer training sessions for youth athletes (ages 5-14)
- Teach fundamental skills including jumps, tumbling, stunting, and dance choreography
- Develop age-appropriate cheer routines and skill progression programs
- Foster teamwork, performance confidence, and school spirit in young athletes
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and development
- Create a positive, safe, and motivating training environment
- Participate in our vibrant Sportset Kids community and collaborate with our coaching team
- Support cheer showcases, competitions, and special events as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Cheerleading coaching experience (school, all-star, or recreational level)
- Background in tumbling, stunting, and/or dance preferred
- Flexible schedule availability including after-school hours and weekends
- Strong communication skills with both children and parents
- Background check clearance (required for youth programming)
- Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels
- Enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging coaching style
- Knowledge of cheer safety protocols and proper spotting techniques
