Hallmark Psychiatry is an outpatient Psychiatry and Therapy/Counseling facility that provides exceptional behavioral health services to patients in Tennessee. We offer both in-person and Telehealth services to ensure that care is accessible regardless of client location in the state. Our commitment is to offer ongoing support through attentive listening and evidence-informed approaches, helping clients navigate life's complexities with confidence.

Job Summary

The Therapist will evaluate clients' individual needs, provide counseling to help manage emotional, psychological and mental health concerns and develop customized treatment plans promoting healthy well-being. The therapist will provide evidence-based solutions and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team when determining the best long-term approach. Additionally, this position will participate in regular clinical supervision, staff meetings and continuing education activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments to evaluate each client's mental health status and treatment needs
    • Counsel and advise clients individually or in a group setting
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on client needs
    • Monitor impact and effectiveness of client treatment plans and make adjustments as needed
    • Support clients by identifying coping strategies and achieving treatment goals
    • Collaborate with psychiatrists, Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and other treatment providers to coordinate the most appropriate and holistic client care
    • Maintain timely, accurate, complete and timely documentation of medical records for all client services provided including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcomes measures, and billing entries in the electronic health record (EHR) system
    • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, federal and state regulations and Hallmark Psychiatry policies, processes and procedures
    • Prepare progress reports and letters for relevant stakeholders as needed
    • Respond to client emergencies as needed by providing appropriate interventions or referrals
    • Assist with audits, utilization reviews, quality assurance initiatives, and other compliance requirements as needed
    • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals
    • Participate in regular clinical supervision, staff meetings and continuing education activities

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Service or a related mental health field
    • Active counseling license in the state of Tennessee in at least one of these areas: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counseloror Licensed Mental Health Counselor
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling to adults

    • Knowledge and proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
    • Strong patient assessment and decision-making skills leading to high-quality treatment plans
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both individually and in small group settings
    • Strong ability to maintain strict client confidentiality
    • Commitment to ethical, culturally competent and inclusive care

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $46.76 per hour
