Medical Front Desk Representative

Join a patient-focused healthcare team as a Medical Front Desk Representative. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth check-in/out, accurate information capture, and seamless coordination between patients, clinicians, and billing.
Key Responsibilities- Greet, register, and check in/out patients; verify demographics and insurance
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments; manage multi-line phones and patient messages
- Collect copays/balances; post payments and issue receipts
- Verify eligibility/benefits; support referrals, authorizations, and records requests
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard PHI at all times
- Document accurately in the EHR (e.g., Epic/Cerner/eClinicalWorks)
- Coordinate with clinical and billing teams to resolve patient issues promptly
- Support front office workflows, daily reconciliations, and reporting as needed
- Background in healthcare or medical office setting
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- MediClear Certification (or equivalent certification) required
- Strong organization and time management; thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency with EHR/EMR and office software; accurate data entry
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Relevant front-office certifications (patient access, medical receptionist)
- Insurance verification/authorization experience; bilingual a plus
