Job Description:

Salary range for position: $80,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience.

FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, is the world's premier provider of piezoelectric inkjet print heads. Our products are designed to accurately dispense a wide range of fluid types in micro-amounts for demanding imaging and fabricating applications.

We are seeking a motivated Process Manufacturing Engineer who can improve and develop a wide array of wafer fab processes (Plating, Wet Etch, Dry Etch, CMP, Laser Dice, metrology…). If you are an engineer who would like the challenge of working in a MEMS high tech environment, owning tools and processes with the goal of maximizing yield and optimizing process performance, developing and sustaining key state of the art processes, then apply to this exciting engineering position located in the heart of the Silicon Valley.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide production support engineering for a specific product or group of products (inkjet print heads) during and after transfer from design to production.
  • Sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvement efforts.
  • Interface with other engineers to solve technical problems.
  • Use and run wafer metrology tools to analyze problems, failures and other technical issues.
  • Use good problem solving and project management skills to optimize product performance and reduce lose.
  • Work closely with R&D and manufacturing engineering to qualify new tools and processes for volume production.
  • Support product qualifications, yield excursion interventions, and new product development activities.
  • Work in a clean room environment, requiring clean room gowning (smock, hood, gloves, booties, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS, MS or PhD degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, MEMS engineering or other relevant engineering field.
  • Knowledge of MEMS fabrication process and thin-film deposition process.
  • Deep understanding of characterization methods for MEMS or semiconductor devices, physics of materials.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex results to a technical audience.
  • Driven, proactive, accountable, ability to work in a multi-functional team with minimum supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, flexibility, team spirit, and positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (JMP, Minitab)
  • Familiarity with SPC, DOE, 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, 5S, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing tools for yield enhancement, cost reduction, and problem solving.
