Autto is a high-growth SaaS-based tech startup in the automotive space. We have developed a very sticky product with a unique opportunity to disrupt a highly antiquated segment of the automotive industry that has never been touched by software technology. Autto is still an early stage startup, and the company needs talented individuals who are up to the challenge of helping scale a business with tremendous career upside.
About the Role
We're looking for a Software Product Manager who is eager to take the next step in their career—someone who has managed software projects before but is ready for more ownership, more impact, and a bigger voice at the table. In this role, you'll work cross-functionally with engineering, QA, product, and business stakeholders to define requirements, drive execution, and ensure we deliver high-quality software that supports our strategic goals.
You'll thrive here if you enjoy structured chaos, communicate with clarity, and bring a tenacious, proactive mindset to every challenge. We value people who do the right thing, own the outcome, get better every day, go above and beyond, and can be counted on when it matters most.
What You'll Do
- Manage multiple software product lines
- Lead product planning and execution across the entire lifecycle of product lines, from roadmap creation to launch.
- Run sprints, standups, retros, and other Agile ceremonies to keep teams aligned and moving efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and business teams to define requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain clear documentation across projects, including specs, roadmaps, and progress reporting.
- Translate business goals into actionable technical tasks and ensure developers have what they need to succeed.
- Balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Provide visibility to leadership through structured reporting, forecasting, and communication.
- Contribute to long-term product strategy as you grow toward senior product management or product leadership roles.
What We're Looking For (Required)
- 3–6 years of experience managing software or technical projects.
- Proven ability to run sprints, standups, retrospectives, and other development ceremonies.
- Experience working cross-functionally to define requirements and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and modern SDLC practices.
- Proficiency with project tools: Jira, Linear, Asana, Trello, or
- Experience maintaining documentation, roadmaps, and internal progress reports.
- Familiarity with project budgeting or resource forecasting, including cost-benefit analysis and/or Capex.
- Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear technical direction.
- A proactive, detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to grow into senior product management or product leadership.
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS, startups, or fast-scaling tech environments.
- Basic technical understanding (APIs, integrations, software lifecycle).
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with EOS or similar operating frameworks.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, with the ability to identify usability issues and advocate for intuitive experiences.
Who You Are
You've been responsible for software projects before, but you're hungry for more. You bring a tenacious mindset to every challenge and believe in doing the right thing—even when it's hard. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and strive to get better every single day. You're someone the team can count on: dependable, collaborative, and always willing to go above and beyond to help ship great software. You don't just keep projects on track—you elevate the people and processes around you. You're also creative in how you approach daily challenges, able to quickly assess problems, think outside the box, and deliver effective solutions without losing momentum.
