This role starts at $31.00 hourly with regular increases and full benefits.

WHAT YOU'LL DO ON THE A-TEAM:

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice:

  • This is a State-Indentured Apprenticeship
  • 2 years of schooling at WCTC or alternative State Technical College is required in conjunction.
  • The apprentice will learn to do various jobs pertaining to the Industrial Mechanic field including:
  • Ensure the operational condition of industrial production and process machinery
  • Manufacture production parts and implement equipment upgrades
  • Maintain equipment through a preventative maintenance program and work order system
  • Performs and/or assists in the installation, modification, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Adhere to all plant and OSHA procedures, performing all duties safely and in accordance with work and safety rules

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Basic math skills including algebra and how to read fractions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Communication skills.
  • Weekend availability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching.
  • Frequent use of hands to type, finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
