Position Overview
Apollo's AAT/PCLS Team is a core part of the firm's Capital Solutions platform, focused on delivering liquidity and investment opportunities across private credit and structured products. The team specializes in trading and distributing alternative fixed-income instruments, including asset-backed securities (ABS), collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), and other private credit assets. Leveraging Apollo's deep credit expertise and global network, the AAT/PCLS team provides institutional clients with tailored solutions, market insights, and execution capabilities to meet their evolving investment needs.

We are seeking a Research Analyst who will sit within the AAT business and report directly to John Maggiacomo. This analyst will be responsible for conducting credit research, market analysis, and providing transaction support across a diverse set of private credit assets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth credit research across a wide range of private credit assets to support investment decision-making and risk assessment.
  • Daily responsibilities include modeling, quantitative financial analysis, financial and business due diligence, and quarterly reporting.
  • Analyze market trends and data to identify opportunities and inform strategic positioning within the private credit space.
  • Provide transaction support by preparing materials, coordinating with internal teams, and assisting in deal execution.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience alternative asset management firm or investment bank
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (top-tier Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A high degree of maturity, a strong work ethic, and an eager to learn attitude
  • Nimble and flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
