Description:

Join our team as a Medical Assistant (MA) and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional healthcare to our patients. Working under the direction of a physician, mid-level provider, or a Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist in various patient care activities to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care. Medical Assistants do rotate from the clinic into our surgery center to help with sterilization and sterile field prep.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of healthcare services to patients under the direction of medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records/documentation.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed.
  • Take vital signs and prepare patients for procedures.
  • Prepare and stock exam rooms, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Maintain and control drug samples inventory.
  • Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, allergies, and medication lists.
  • Assist physicians/nurses with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Maintain exam room disinfection protocols.
  • Assist other staff/team members as needed by physicians, nurses, or managers.
  • Practice Standard Precautions, including hand washing and disposal of biohazardous materials.
  • Obtain necessary patient records as required by physicians.
  • Ensure appropriate consent has been obtained prior to treatment or procedures.
  • Direct patients from the exam room to the next appropriate station.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and restock supply areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of medical experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
