Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Records Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical regulations. This role is essential in supporting the overall efficiency of our medical office and enhancing patient care through effective records management.

Duties

  • Maintain and organize electronic health records (EHR) to ensure accurate and timely access to patient information.
  • Review, verify, and update medical records for completeness
  • Assist in the retrieval of medical records for healthcare providers, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in audits of medical records to ensure quality control and adherence to established standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical office or law firm setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with healthcare operations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential for effective record management.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret and manage patient information.
  • Experience with medical records management practices, including filing, retrieval, and data entry processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
