About the Company

RH/Protiviti is looking for Quality Engineers to support Level 3 PPAPs / Production Part Approval Process in the defense industry on a contract basis and join our existing Quality Team You will be utilizing approved process and documentation standards already in place on a well-functioning team(s)

About the Role

Supplier Quality Engineers may need to be onsite, periodically, in South Bend, Indiana. Ideally, consultants would have defense or aerospace experience and have category part knowledge around castings, Fabrication, Welding, Chassis automotive parts...plastics electrical potentially as well. "Comfortable with travel is also important."

Responsibilities

  • Support Level 3 PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) which is a standardized requirement in the automotive and manufacturing industries.
  • Utilize approved process and documentation standards.
  • Work with suppliers such as General Dynamics, Level 3, Harris, Boeing, Northrup Grumman, Harley Davidson, Briggs and Stratton, Johnson Controls, Winnebago, Lippert, Bennington Boats.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the defense or aerospace industry, or automotive manufacturing.
  • Category part knowledge around castings, fabrication, welding, chassis automotive parts, plastics, and electrical components.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with Level 3 PPAP requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with specific suppliers mentioned.
  • Comfortable with travel.
