OMTAC is seeking a dynamic and strategic Systems Engineer to support our government sales and business development division.

This position is responsible for delivery and system integration of our proprietary software that includes configurations, installations, troubleshooting, upgrading, repairing, and maintaining our products (e.g. Network Core, computer networks, TCP/IP, etc.). Levels are determined by experience and technical competence with technical solutions as well as overall years of experience. This is classified as a "safety-sensitive position."

Requirements for the successful candidate are:

  • College degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven hands-on network design and implementation experience.
  • Network hardware configuration
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with CLI network configurations
  • Must have proficiency in log analysis to troubleshoot issues.
  • CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
  • Basic Knowledge of transmission technology such as radio systems, LTE and Wireless
  • Requires availability to work overtime
  • Must have good analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to develop and implement plans, procedures, and processes to accomplish a goal
  • Must have good communications skills
  • Occasional travel to client sites
