School Bus Driver

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 7 passenger school van to transport students to and from schools and programs.
  • Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during boarding, transit, and drop-off.
  • Maintain accurate route logs, attendance sheets, and incident reports as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, school staff, and parents when necessary.
  • Follow all NJDOE, DOT, and MVC transportation rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey CDL Driver's License (Class C) (P & S Endorsments).
  • Must pass NJDOE fingerprinting, background check, and physical exam.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to work split shifts (morning and afternoon).
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual.
  • Experience working with children is a plus.
