Saltwater is seeking a full-time Assistant Controller to join our small administrative team. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, organized, have strong analytical skills and be a creative problem solver and a team player.

The accountant will report to the CFO. Work will be performed on-site at our office in Anchorage, AK.

Duties include:

  • Accounts Payable – Invoice processing, payment processing and account reconciliation. Maintain electronic records of invoices and payments. Monitor and process employee expense accounts via Expensify Reporting System. Record transactions into General Ledger. Analyze and ensure the accuracy of credit card activity and import transactions into the General Ledger.
  • Accounts Receivable – Billing, applying cash receipts, preparing deposits. Maintain electronic records of invoices and payments. Import billing worksheets into the General Ledger. Send invoices via QuickBooks email system. Interact with department program managers for processing of all billing activity.
  • Financial Reporting – prepare and enter journal entries, account analysis/reconciliations and electronic workpapers. Assist in the preparation and analysis of Financial Statements.
  • Budgeting – Assist with preparation of annual budgets, working with Departmental Managers and CFO.
  • Administrative and other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Minimum of an associate's degree in business/accounting is preferred. In lieu of a degree, relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Ability to work on-site in Anchorage, Alaska.
Compensation:

Salary Range is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 Annually with benefits that include:
