Field Service Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, skilled Field Service Technician to join our CASEI team. CASEI is a San Diego based Industrial Compressor Engineering, Sales and Service company, that has been in business for over 40 years. The ideal candidate will have expertise in repair & maintenance of Industrial Air Compressor systems. Candidate will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair to air compressor equipment at customer's site.

Responsibilities:

• Overhaul, repair and test compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps and other industrial products

• Complete written notes and customer report on tablet in Service platform

• Provide professional troubleshooting and technical services to customers
• Provide a high level of customer service in response to customer needs and satisfy their expectations
• Practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times
• Complete customer work order forms and other job-related paperwork on a daily basis

• Optimizes sales potential with customers

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff

• Must maintain a valid California Driver's License and good Motor Vehicle Report

• Must have a firm commitment to excellence and high standards

• Strong time management skills, detail oriented, organized and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
• Strong communication skills, including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively

• Good reading, comprehension, technical aptitude, analytical skills

• Use electronic devices i.e. Smartphone, tablet, computer

• Ability to follow established policies and procedures with a safety-first attitude

• Demonstrated problem solving and process analysis skills

• Good judgement skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

• Good hand-eye coordination, excellent manual dexterity, able to work with small detailed objects

• Experience using mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pipe installation tools and equipment maintenance knowledge

• Tech expected to have basic tools used in trade; Casei to provide any specialized tools

• Knowledge of air compressor or other pneumatic mechanical equipment preferred

• Basic electrical knowledge preferred

• Professional appearance; a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in themselves and in others

• Willingness to work hours outside of the standard schedule, as needed, with appropriate notice when possible

• Willingness to travel to customer sites, off-site meetings, company related functions, and the like with short notice

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Physical Demands: Candidate must regularly lift & move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds

Travel: This position does not typically require travel outside the territory area or overnight

Experience:

• Air Compressor/Pneumatic Mechanical Equipment: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

• San Diego, CA 92111: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
